This release is the major milestone in my project and is an improvement in every way compared to my previous album. It fuses many of my influences to create something genuine and new. A few words about titles and the tracks themselves:
• ORMUS is a fictitious group of substances exhibiting many miraculous properties, such as healing powers and superconductivity at room temperature. This is a short, two-minute skit serving as an opening to the album, slightly below 170 BPM.
• STIGMA is a mark of disgrace associated with a particular circumstance, quality, or person. The title track with a distinct melodic progression in the middle. This production is a mix of many different ideas and concepts surrounded by unique aura.
• SAVANT is characterized by strong dub music influence. It's filled to the brim with spring reverb, filtered percussions, and delayed bits flying all over the place - my personal favorite.
• TULPA - a concept in mysticism and the paranormal of a being or object which is created through spiritual or mental powers. The most ferocious track on the album, especially after the second drop. It uses the classic Landlord stab sample to add more flavor.
• TIME OF WEAKNESS instantly hits the listener with a thick, claustrophobic atmosphere paired with low, warm basslines and keeps mercilessly pushing forward without looking behind.
• GEMATRIA is an Assyro-Babylonian-Greek system of alphanumeric code or cipher that was later adopted into Jewish culture.
• SUNKEN CITIES consists of a one, long drop that becomes more complex and jungle-esque as the track progresses.
• BLACK AIR simply refines my usual style - main kick-based pattern with A-B breakbeat sections on top paired with menacing atmosphere and deep sub.
• PROMISE TO KEEP is a small homage to older drum & bass. I used a lot of ethnic instruments to support the mechanical, 2-step driven rhythm. The main melodic progression has been created by pitching and filtering tonal percussions.
• ILLUSION OF CHOICE - an ending ambient piece that closes the album.
