This album got me bustin out my weirdo fx pedals to jam out over the tracks on my bass(es)! Loads of badass breaks and supplemented with deep subs. Great for some midrange fuzz/modulation noodling! The drums sound phenomenal!

Veteran drumfunk producer Opius joins Offish Productions family to demonstrate us all his years of experience in sampling and chopping breakbeats. The album features five of his solo tracks and unique remixes from Genotype, Eschaton, Mineral, Phuture-T, Evasion and Offish.
• NO MORE PAIN - Urban rain and solitary pads set the mood, soon accompanied by metallic shuffling drums and seabed low subs. The vocals start telling the story just before the onslaught of amen choppage tearout drop.
• ANNIHILATION - Whispers and Bladerunner style atmospheres steer you in whilst James Brown grunts over the tight kick and snare with the Funky Drummer break gliding in and out. Sinister dirt for the true drum & bass heads that went Church at Hoxton and the likes back in day.
• THE CALLING - My first time using this break and damn did I have fun. Tight rolls and shuffles setting the vibe for this deep Egyptian chanting melody panning extravaganza of dark rawness.
• A NEW WORLD - Resampling the pad from an all-time favorite of mine from way back, twisting and upscaling it... Bare upfront drumfunk here with spoken word taking you to another place.
• CUBARIS EMPEROR - Name is referencing The Emperor Bee - outright sinister skulduggery, door biting filth. Steppy beat with synths imitating big bees, dark stabs and the sound of the insects slowly departing at the end after causing calamity.
• ANNIHILATION REMIX - Genotype's alternative take with much longer intro and reworked rhythms. It's hinting more towards jungle compared to the techstep flavor of the original.
• A NEW WORLD REMIX - Takes the turn into vibrant, atmospheric piece that slowly unfolds and adds additional layers of sound each passing minute.
• THE CALLING REMIX - Complete free-form experimentation feeling like authentic jazz drummer's solo, skillfully tied together with sinister reese basses added on top.
• NO MORE PAIN REMIX - Much like the remix of "A New World", the Evasion's interpretation tones down the aggression of the original version. It focuses more on wide, warm pads and doubles down on storytelling aspects.
• CUBARIS EMPEROR REMIX - The main focus was toying around with pacing - the intro starts slowly with halftime beat, which later evolves into a jungle-esque drop. Second half of the track turned mostly into stripped down two-step style that could be easy to use in a mix.
Shouts to Mum, Dad (RIP), Matt & Lori, Erroll & Louise, Jake, James, Dolly, Sarah, Hazel & Martin, Liam and all those that support my music.
